The global pandemic Covid-19 is having a huge impact on the lives of people in many and varied ways across the world. As well as the direct health effects, there are enormous economic and social impacts; all of these are further increasing already major inequalities within and between countries.
In this show we are grateful for the contribution of Sean O Farrell, Director of International Programmes, Trocaire, We also have Dr. Nick Chisolm, Director of the Centre for Global Development UCC. We have speakers too from Zimbabwe and Palestine and UCC students. All participants give a perspective on Covid-19 from different perspectives and different parts of the world, highlighting a range of experienceses, diverse impacts of and responses to covid-19, with a particular focus on the global dimension.
